It was a good place and nice hotel. Room was nice with a good view. Only negative was the cleaning staff threw out a few important items by a mistake which I had to pay for again in the end

"Nice clean facility at great price!"
Nice cozy room with two comfortable queen beds, TV, microwave, mini refrigerator & coffee maker & stuff. Clean bathroom with lots towels. Walk in distance to nearby biking trail where we strolled leisurely to the inner harbor. We are impressed with the facility and enjoyed our small chats with the friendly reception staff. We'll be back & will definitely recommend Red Lion to our family & friends. However, I found the elevator a bit smelly of mechanical oil from the shaft? My man said the small noise from mini fridge kept him up. The mini fridge nearly freeze our fresh fruits.

"Historic hotel in perfect location"
I decided to stay here for my birthday weekend, and I'm glad I did. The location is perfect; the hotel is right by the harbor, and it's also right in downtown Victoria. We were able to walk everywhere: museums, restaurants, stores, etc. The hotel has a vintage charm, which I loved. Our room was on the top floor but part of the ceiling was slanted (like in an attic), so we only had one tiny window. The decor is old but charming. There are a lot of great amenities in this hotel. There's a fitness center, indoor swimming pool and hot tub, spa, restaurants, and of course, afternoon tea!

The staff were what made the stay memorable. The included buffet was just ok but the staff made up for it. I would go again.

"Great hotel for the price"
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Moved room without asking because the front desk noticed we had kids, and original room was next to a noisy conference. This was very nice and the new room was very quiet and clean.

"Perfect hotel in Victoria. "
We were busying friends and family for a few nights. I love the location and size of this hotel. Not too close to tourist district and not a huge , dated building. Great amenities so we are able to have fruit, hummus etc in hotel room . Love the art work throughout. The carpets in the room are maybe due for a clean. Otherwise it is great. Would stay again and again:)

"return visit after a number of years"
Staff was great. Hotel is old and shows it. Carpets in room stained badly, outdoor mini porches off the rooms haven't been cleaned in a very long time. Green with mold and very dirty. Surprised to pay $15.00 for parking and then be expected to walk all the way back to my car to put the permit in my window. Still it wasn't very expensive and the staff were very good. thanks

"Great location for the price"
Room quite comfortable but road noise sometimes excessive; however, we were on 1st floor. Staff VERY friendly and helpful. Easy walk to harbour and downtown sites. And not too far from Tim Horton's!
