"Très bon hôtel"
Chambre propre et très spacieuse avec cuisinette et frigo. Personnel aux petits soins. Piscine. Buanderie. Idéalement placé pour rayonner dans Montreal dans un quartier animé et calme à la fois.

"Lovely historic hotel"
We loved our stay at the Auberge de la Place Royale. It is in a beautifully maintained historic building. The rooms are large and charming, and there was a chalkboard on the room doors welcoming the guests. It was the perfect place to stay when visiting historic Montreal.

"Great hotel in a great location"
Our room was a good size, very stylish (I loved the bathroom with a stone wall) and clean. It is in the old part of Montreal which is very quaint and full of art galleries, tasteful shops and wonderful places to eat. We walked to the Notre-Dame Basilica, saw a play at the Centaur theater, wandered around the old port, and had dinner all within blocks of the hotel. The metro is about 7 minutes walk away so that was convenient enough too. Breakfast had yogurt, croissants, cereal, fruit salad, bagels, bread, orange juice and coffee or tea. I'm home now and missing the croissants!

"Great hotel to experience the culture and history"
Wonderful and attentive staff. The hotel has been beautifully preserved since 1725. We stated in room 8 which was gorgeous. It included a fireplace and an adjacent balcony. We felt like kings and queens! Breakfast is included but is served European style; fruit, breads, coffee and tea. Although English is spoken here, I would recommend brushing up on a few French phrases prior to your visit to Montreal!

"Friendly, clean and beautiful."
Quick, easy (english) early check-in. All staff was approachable, smiling and helpful. The room was clean with high ceilings, big windows and very comfortable bed. Immaculate bathroom, large tub with excellent water pressure and hot water. A coffee make in the room would have been nice, but they did offer complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Start your exploration of the city with a trek through Old Montreal, the city’s historic district. Head to Marche Bonsecours, a classic domed building dating back to 1847. Grab a snack at one of its many cafes or restaurants, or visit its boutiques to pick up gifts for your friends waiting back at home. For a taste of the city’s illustrious past, visit the Pointe-à-Callière Museum, which focuses on the archaeology and history of the area.

You can add more flavor to your trip by staying in a Montreal historic hotel. Stay in a vintage building that boasts unique architectural touches, like brick walls and vast fireplaces in the lobby. Some of these hotels were built during the Victorian era, over 100 years ago. Despite their age, all establishments have been completely updated internally; you’ll sleep in plush bedding, enjoy hot showers, and be able to upload all your daily photos to social media through the hotel’s Wi-Fi. Enjoy a complimentary breakfast amid antique fixtures before you head out for another day in Montreal.
