"Great location with other issues "
Nothing could be more convenient that staying at Hotel LeCantlie. The area is central to museums, the Parc Royal, the Metro and so many restaurants. The room was comfortable and clean. But with all that there were issues: The toilet did not flush properly and had to be adjusted with each flush. They never provided the right number of towels for the number of people in the room, we were given unreliable directions from one newly hired desk staff person, I was never served despite sitting at the bar waiting for a drink and to spend money on dinner one evening.

"A slightly different concept"
I booked this hotel the night before a quick trip to Montreal. GPS took me to a different part of the city but searching by hotel name eventually brought me to the right place. It would be helpful if I had a warning that the parking lot is behind the hotel front. I actually had to backup a little in order to turn into the parking area. Even the sign is a little confusing there. But once I had passed that entrance test, my stay was pretty pleasant. The room was clean, spacious and well maintained. I was assigned to a floor and section where most of my neighbors are condo owners. The first floor entrance requires swiping the key to get in. There is a restaurant next to the entrance where I had a buffet-style continental breakfast, which is not free, though. It's slightly off the downtown tourist spots but still within walking distance.

"Pleasantly surprised"
The hotel was very nice especially for the price. The only complaint I have is that the pillows where too hard but I plan to stay there again in September and I will just bring my own pillow. There is a bus terminal right beside so you don't have to drive into Montreal if you don't want to.

"About right for the price"
Aircon a little intrusive. Very comfortable bed. Room service stops at 11.00pm. The executive lounge on the 23rd floor served breakfast comprising rubber eggs, rubber cheese, rubber ham and melon that was either too ripe or too hard. Convenient location and helpful pleasant staff.

"Why pay more for less?"
Took a deal from Expedia not knowing about the hotel. Turned into a great positive experience. Reasonably priced, clean, wonderful room, quiet, good breakfast, a MAC in the room in addition to wifi, finally found a good shower . What more can you ask for? Not luxury but serves all your needs very nicely.

"Nice hotel close to city center"
Great amenities, well located, great appeal for the younger crowd due to its "industrial design".
