My girlfriend and I stayed at the Franklin Guesthouse from April 3rd-6th. We’re from a small town, so we knew we would need some quiet after hectic days/nights in Manhattan. The Franklin Guesthouse was perfect for us! The hotel is situated in a quiet Brooklyn neighborhood right near the east river. It’s quite close to the subway, a few minutes walk from the ferry service, and they offer a free shuttle for anywhere within a 1-mike radius. The room was always clean when we returned from our days...

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and cozy. Location is interesting since it’s in an industrial area but there’s very little traffic or people so it feels safe and secluded. Walls are a bit thin and there is an automatic light that goes off every time you go to the bathroom which can be quite annoying, but these are minor things. Overall, stay was lovely!

Changed to handicapped room for way more space and comfort for our 6 night stay. Staff helpful in arranging this. Lots of nearby places to buy good quality food for diy breakfast in room w well appointed kitchen. Fresh fruit and yogurt downstairs was helpful too. Only drawback is the vacant lot next door where unhoused people sleep and leave litter behind in the morning. Otherwise cool neighborhood in Brooklyn close to Park Slope
