The staff were accommodating and always willing to help. Our room was lovely and as advertised online. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The pools were wonderful and our spa experience was extremely positive. Overall good value for dollar. Our only complaint would be the cost of a poolside drink - it was wild!

We had a great stay! The property was well-maintained, and it was a luxury to have a private pool within the villa. It was quite a walk to the beach, but that also ensured our privacy. We had surprise encounters with beautiful wildlife like raccoons, crabs, monkeys and snakes. Yoga with Andrea was amazing! The daily buffet breakfast was excellent.

We enjoyed our stay at this adults-only boutique hotel. While in the downtown, this hotel felt like a tropical oasis. The pools, gardens and walkways were peaceful and created a very romantic atmosphere. (We met many couples on their honeymoon during our stay.) The hotel included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was a nice buffet with a free mimosa station. The dinner menu changed daily, we were given the menu at breakfast and would then place our orders for the evening. (A vegetarian menu was available every day.) Drinks at dinner were not included. Overall, the food was good. There was a nice path from the hotel to the downtown and beach club. We tried a few local restaurants for lunch (highly recommend the Falafel Bar) and also ate lunch at the beach club (the chicken nachos were delicious!) The beach club had a great beach bar with nice views and drinks. Yoga (as well as other activities) were complimentarty and offered throughout our stay. We tried a yoga class and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly. Our room was dated but clean, our balcony had a beautiful view of the grounds and ocean. This hotel is a solid choice for Tamarindo.

The location is nice (we saw monkeys by the forest edge!) and the property is clean overall. But there were some hiccups. For instance, they forgot to give us towels half of the time. Or the correct number of towels. Or bottled water. And they hardly had any towels by the pool. You had to wait until they were replaced. The kids water park (with the colorful slides) had missing tile and some of it was coming loose as you were walking around it - which was dangerous for kids feet. But you always saw the staff cleaning the floors and were very attentive at all the restaurants.
