The property was nice, rooms were clean, staff were very friendly. Located 10 minutes from Old Montreal and the Port, which was very convenient. I would stay here again, received good value for the dollar. A couple of things that could use some attention though; we had a room with 2 queen beds, the beds were very comfortable, but we were unable to charge our phones as there were no outlets available (they were behind the bed). I suggest a taller night table between the beds with built in power so you can charge your devices. The other thing was the water pressure, it was very low making for a long shower. Thanks,

This was my second time staying at Hotel Birks in Montreal. I travel regularly to Montreal to visit my son who is in college. This is one of the finest hotels in the city and is conveniently located in the heart of Montreal. The good news is that I found my stay on this visit for the most part exceptional with some unusual caveats. First when we arrived, I was offered an upgrade. Customary for VIP Hotel bookings, however considering I was traveling with my daughter the upgrade that I was offered only had one king bed a pull-out sofa bed and a single vanity, whereas the room I had already booked was larger, had two queen beds and a double vanity and it was on a higher floor with a better view of the cathedral. After seeing both rooms we decided to stay with the original booking, but this extended the check in process by at least 30 minutes. We weren't offered any additional amenities. In addition, once checked in we weren't offered any assistance with our bags which I found to be unusual. Another unusual aspect of our stay was the curt tone of the hosts in the restaurant. On my previous visit I was never questioned when sitting at the bar as to whether or not I was a guest of the hotel. This happened several times to both me and my daughter and quite honestly made us feel uncomfortable. Management should address how employees of the hotel approach patrons. Overall service, room and experience was great. Will come again.

Great great hotel!! Staff was professional and very friendly. The location was perfect to many bars restaurants and everything is within walking distance.
