"The hotel doesn't look much from the outside, but it is excellent. Very helpful staff, we had an issue with the aircon being noisy in our room, so they moved us to a better room no problem. Great location, College subway station is 10 mins walk, great big comfy bed, good internet, good shower and an excellent breakfast, it really is in my top 3 breakfasts of hotels and the staff at breakfast were excellent. So overall a top hotel and reasonably priced for Toronto. Top tip eat at Frans Restaurant just down the road for an excellent Canadian diner experience, we recommend the strawberry milkshake."

"Every staff member we talked to were very kind, professional and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our room service meals were delicious and hot. The only complaints we have is that there was no microwave in the room and the price of the room."

"Beautiful hotel. The stay was lovely. The downfall? We booked the hotel over 6 weeks in advance -two rooms both king size beds. We did arrive early and did not expect to get in at that time. However, the staff did offer Queen bed rooms- this is not what we booked and said we would wait. Every time we checked (3 times after the regular check in times) they kept offering us queen beds instead. This began to feel like a "ploy" to get us settle for a room we did not want. Finally on the fourth query, the lovely lady was "confused" as to the hold up and we were given our king room. Seemed a little suspicious to us. Lastly, charging $15.00/day for internet is totally ridiculous! I would only get it for free if I am a Bonvoy member. In this day and age charging for internet is a cost that no paying guest (especially at such high end hotels) should have to pay -member or not."

"Unfortunately, we stayed at the hotel during a labor strike, so there was no housekeeping service. We were compelled to stay there due to its proximity to our relatives' home, but we suffered the inconvenience of waiting at the entrance; protesters only allowed cars to pass every five minutes, forcing us to walk to and from the street. There was no breakfast, though the bed was comfortable and the room spacious; however, a hotel of this caliber lacked basic amenities like slippers and toothbrushes. We would have appreciated a partial refund for the lack of services, but they claimed they had notified us—a message we never saw because it was sent to Expedia rather than directly to our email. Consequently, we felt the money spent was wasted given the absence of services. We had to request cups and coffee pods, and room service had to be ordered from outside the hotel; as for bottled water, it was provided only once, after which they charged $4 per bottle."
