Our family stayed this past weekend at the Western Lodge. I have to say, we do not normally stay in Motels but I have to commend Donna and the team at Western Lodge. They have do a lot to make an older building more modern. The decor when you arrive is lovely. The breakfast room is large and spacious, linens and towels are new and fresh. The beds were firm but soft and we didn't have those giants pillows that make it so hard to sleep at night. Donna was the real star of the lodge. She will go out of her way to make you feel at home. How many places have you stayed where you actually know the name of your receptionist. She is kind hearted, tended to my quereies and gave us the best possible service. Thank you, Donna!

We stayed last year 2025 and it was probably a little better last time than our Feb 2026 stay. The breakfast was still good but a year ago it was excellent. Last year they had welcome cookies at check in for kids. None this year. Last year specialty coffee machine in lobby. This year it was broken. Less parking this year as they are renovating. Parking is an issue. Rooms still good. Clean. Spacious. Ok value compared to staying on the hill. Location is great. Kids enjoyed pool and hot tub but smaller size. If you’re there to ski there isn’t much time for the pool anyway. Staff is friendly.

Hotel was in poor condition- very old, not clean, very thin towels in the bathrooms, all that was provided in the bathroom was a bar of soap. Walls are paper thin- could hear every noise throughout the hotel (they did have ear plugs in the room). Only good thing was the location.

The unit was great, clean and well appointed, though the previous guest cooked some bad fish which left a lingering smell. But it was in an excellent location for lift access and the Embarc staff were very kind and communicative and delivered some air freshener. Will stay again in the future!
