"We had a great vacation at Hideaway! The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. It was clean and fully stocked with supplies. There are so many amenities that we didn’t have time to use them all! (Kayaks, paddle board, game shed, crabbing, fire pits, pizza oven…) The owners have thought of everything you’d need or want, plus more! We loved the quiet beach and how close it is to the house. We can’t wait to return again!"

Being first timers to the island, I had several questions that were answered very quickly. The cottage was clean, well stocked (which is important for this type of unique experience) and decorated very cute. The local people were very friendly and we enjoyed the scenery of the island. "Everything about the Swanendele Inn was exceptional: the location, the accommodations, the facilities, the decor, the hosts, and, not least, the breakfast. In fact, you could spend several days just exploring the remarkable antiques and artifacts around the place. However, what made the strongest impression was the fiery glow of dawn though the pine trees outside our balcony every morning in the Margeret Brent suite. Rhododaktylos, "The rosy-fingered dawn": I never understood the true meaning of that phrase until I saw that."
