When is the best time to go to Ocean View?

The best time to go to Ocean View is during the summer months, from December to February, when the weather is warmest and most suitable for beach activities. During this period, you can expect average temperatures ranging from 18°C to 22°C, with plenty of sunshine. This makes it ideal for enjoying the beach, swimming, and exploring the coastal walks. The longer daylight hours also allow for more time to enjoy outdoor pursuits. However, if you prefer a quieter experience and don't mind cooler temperatures, the shoulder seasons of spring (September to November) and autumn (March to May) also offer pleasant conditions.

Top Ocean View Hotel Reviews

Kingsgate Hotel Dunedin

8/10 Good

"Slow check in with one staff member on the desk and a queue. All staff were polite and helpful. They seemed to do a mix of duties so the same people popped up around the hotel. Good central location. I paid for a double room on an upper floor which was nice and spacious. I was grateful for the effective heaters. Had breakfasts in house which were adequate. Good value for the tarrif charged. Publicity about the restaurant not being open for lunches and dinners was misleading., Bar meals were available. I chose to eat out"
