Apartment style room 2 bedroom (slept my family of 5). The owner is very personable and she had some welcome muffins for us. 10 min walk to city center which is nice to avoid parking doing anything downtown. Motel is on a quiet street. Would definitely stay again.
Check-in was easy. We had a smallish room next to the old lift with double doors and thought this might be a problem, it was not. But the nightclub across the road was. Luckily it was only the first night we suffered with the disturbance. Apart from that it was thoroughly enjoyable.
Dunedin, on the south coast of New Zealand's South Island, is a vibrant student city with a lively nightlife, fine architecture, and breathtaking scenery. The Flemish-style railway station, the castle and the university buildings are all worth a visit, the nearby Otago Peninsula is home to large seal and penguin colonies, and the city boasts the world's steepest street.
