With 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, plus a refreshing outdoor shower, the home sits directly on the Lake Dunlap section of the spring-fed Guadalupe River.

A Great Getaway

We absolutely loved the house. The kids enjoyed spending time down by the water. The house had plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and a place to sit and eat. We honestly hated that we had to leave.

Fun Easter weekend!

We enjoyed our stay so much. It is such a beautiful and comfortable place. We had 8 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room for us to hang around and be comfortable. We LOVED the outside and being on the water. They have great outdoor activities that work for all ages. We had a blast and will definitely go back.

Peaceful location

Great location for water activities yet close to many must sees in New Braunfels without the hustle and bustle of people. Very peaceful place at sunrise and sunset. Our family and friends are already planning another trip.

Relaxing Stay at the River

The house was gorgeous and super clean when we arrived. Loved the kitchen and enjoyed cooking lots of meals there. Grandparents loved relaxing in the backyard while grandkids played on the river. Would love to come back once the damn is fixed.

Let me start by saying wow house accommodated all of us house had everything you need and more the beds were so comfortable the owners were so polite and very helpful. We enjoyed every single bit of that house we had all ages from toddlers to teens and grandparents. House was very cozy it was beyond my expectations we definitely will recommend to friends and family and definitely coming back. Thank you for letting us stay in this relaxing house.

We had eleven adults and there was plenty of room in the house. Lake was low but we where able to Kayak, and float in the lake. We all had a great time.

Girls weekend

Great house for a great girls weekend. We had 8 adults- everyone had a comfy bed, plenty of space to spread out. Great kitchen area for everyone to be working in with a huge island. We enjoyed the large covered patio with plenty of seating. The proximity to the water is perfect- just a very short walk to get in and float. Short drive into NB was a bonus too. Chad and Gaby responded quickly to any questions we had. I definitely would recommend Opas Haus and we would love to come back!

Beautiful home and view!

The home was perfect for the 13 people we had staying there. Ages ranged from infant to adult that stayed in the house. Plenty of open space and activities to do. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and games throughout the house. The host communicate and answered questions very quickly and would highly recommend to stay at the property again. We look forward to coming back!

Far exceeded expectations!

Owners were very informative and responsive. The house exceeded all expectations from its layout, decor and cleanliness. 6 adults and there was room for all to do their own thing. Amenities were awesome, from the hot tub, water toys, cornhole boards, BBQ grills. Kitchen was perfect and had everything you need to prepare and quick to elaborate meal. Will definitely would stay again in the future.

Would absolutely book again!

House was nice and big. Master bedroom was on the other side of the house from other bedrooms, which we liked. Big ole kitchen with room for several people to prepare meals. Not far from grocery stores (Walmart) and restaurants. Outside was nice. We sat around and visited at night… somehow they had no mosquitos!! Will happily recommend to all my friends and family! Communication with owners was awesome.

Better than the Best

This amazing house will up the fun level of your escape! There are tons of comfortable places to gather. We considered doing a triathalon with corn hole, ping pong and kayak races. But we are age enriched so we just sat around and ate and gabbed. The beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning works great even when it’s 103 outside. Lots of kitchen supplies. (Bring tin foil and ziplocks - we had a lot of left overs.)

Family vacay

I booked this stay for a weekend family vacation for 10 of us. The house was very spacious, had plenty of supplies needed for cooking, and lots of activities for the outdoor area. We spent most of our time enjoying the lake, roasting s'more's by the fire pit, and grilling on the patio. The cons of the stay would be the cleanliness of the home and outdoor area. There were cobwebs in the house, all over the patio furniture and door ways. The backyard area has huge potential if it was upkept better- a tree covered in cobwebs, poison ivy by the shed, and yellowjacket nests on the covered boat dock. This stay has great potential and hope this feedback helps.

Great place for a large group

We enjoyed ourselves quite a lot. The space was good with enough amenities to cook meals there for our group. The patio was amazing, right on the water. Most of everything was comfortable, but there were a few things that probably need to be updated. The Queen bed in the secondary bedroom with ensuite bathroom has a pretty big dip in the center, making it uncomfortable to sleep in. Another of the bedrooms has a bed missing a headboard, which causes the bed to slide around a bit at night. Other than those issues, the place was great! Excellent communication with owners.
