The Macroplaza, one of the largest plazas in the world, is located in the heart of the Barrio Antiguo. It is a spacious square full of iconic sites and monuments. See the Faro del Comercio (Lighthouse of Commerce), a 230-foot (70.1-meter) structure that shoots a green laser beam around the city. Admire the statue of the Roman god of the sea at the majestic Fuente de Neptuno (Neptune Fountain). Near the plaza, you will find many restaurants and boutiques. Try Monterrey specialties, such as cabrito (baby goat). Some restaurants also offer international cuisine. Peruse the shops for souvenirs.
