"We had horrible flight delays, but Steve was great to work with and made sure the lights were on when we finally arrived at 3am. We awoke the next morning to paradise; the view from the master bedroom feels like you died and went to heaven. Our 3 grown children couldn't believe how close the beach/water was and how amazing the views are. We rented snorkels from Hanalei Surf Co, which seemed better price/condition than bigger names in Kapaa (previous trips). We loved the water just out front of the rental and down at Tunnels. We did a tour with Napali Catamaran that was amazing with much more time along the coast than Tours out of Port Alan. There were a couple reviews talking about noise from the neighbors, but all we ever heard was the waves and trade winds. We did stop by the cute little coffee shop next door and had a good dinner at Opakapaka. We enjoyed all the fresh fruit from local farmers markets and cooked fresh fish from blue dolphin several nights. There was a small but good selection of leftover spices and condiments, and most of the kitchen tools you’d need for making breakfast, lunch and dinners. We appreciated having sharp knives as many VRBOs don’t provide good cutlery. Steve provided a large array of cleaning and household products - 1st VRBO we didn’t need to buy TP, paper towels, trashbags or dish soap. Beds were all comfortable and bath towels were amazing. Lots of beach chairs and towels to use. Can’t wait to come back to this amazing place!!!!"

"The property is beautiful, private with lots of lovely spaces to enjoy the gorgeous north shore. Mattresses are super comfy and the hosts provided everything we needed, from toiletries to kitchen essentials, including coffee. A short shuttle ride (or walk) takes you to the beautiful Hae’na and tunnels beach (or, with reservations, the incredible Ke’e beach and Nepali hike). The restaurant at the nearby resort is fairly nice, and definitely try the smoothie shop and small grocery about three minutes east. Manolo, Shannon!"

"Third time at the house. It's perfect for us, bc we want to beach all day every day and it's only a short walk. It's always clean, and the house has everything we need so we can pack light. Quiet street, you can hear the surf, and see the most amazing stars at night! Loved the fresh flowers greeting us upon arrival. Can't wait for our next visit!"

"The location was great and the unit was perfect for the two of us. There was no TV (fine for us), WiFi was good. We were 100 feet from the beach and could walk to Tunnels Beach via the beach walk. We will definitely stay here again!"

"The whole island is absolutely stunning; the Hanalei Colony was like the icing on a cake. It's in such a beautiful part of the island. I especially appreciated the bed and bedding. I'm probably a bit too picky about pillows, sheets, etc. but all of the bedding in our apartment was VERY comfortable."

"We were so pleased overall with our stay. The property management was polite and responsive. The ocean view was divine! We particularly enjoyed the pool facilities and Lomi Lomi massages at the day spa on site. Glad we stayed here, near the end of the North Shore road where it was more remote & peaceful. The concierge service was a huge plus in helping set up excellent activities for our family. Will definitely stay here again next time in Kauai. Mahalo!"
