« We stayed at the”Blackhaus” January 19-23. The house was perfect for our 3 teenage boys and my wife and I. It is a bit off the road which offers serenity and peace. The house is well appointed and met all of our needs. It is located just about 8 minutes from whiteface ski resort and about 22 minutes to lake placid. I Will definitely stay here again. »

« It is what it looks like. A charming place to stay that is quiet, relaxing, easy to get to, close to town, but far enough away, simple, and although there are several cabins, it is also very private in each one. There is also a gas station/convenience store that is very near by which had quick things we needed and even fresh salads to eat on two occasions. « My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Zen Den for 1 month and it exceeded our expectations in every regard. Five minute walk Main Street, 2 minutes to a great playground for our daughter, 2 minute walk to Mountain Mist Ice Cream. The home was super clean and comfortable. We made ample use of the fire pit, grill and fully stocked Keurig. Jenna and Rick very nice and accommodative and we loved getting to know them during our stay. We very much look forward to staying here during our next visit....

« This adorable cottage had a beautiful aesthetic and thoughtful details that we really appreciated such as large coffee mugs for people who really enjoy coffee; a yoga mat; a nice fireplace space heater which made lounging on the sofa nice and cozy and soft linens on the bed. »

« Rented this house for its proximity to the Adirondack mountains and hiking trails and we were not dispointed! Also did a bit of fly fishing! The house provided all the comfort we needed and the owners were great to help us with tons of information! Overall a great family vacation. »

« Highland Cottage is a great local stay in Lake Placid. Yes, the bed is up in the loft and you can’t stand up, but that was no issue for us. We loved the place and will be back. »

« Perfect for a long weekend up for a tournament. Great location, quiet with easy access to both downtowns. Need to take advantage of the firepits next time! Only comment is it would be great to have a ceiling fan or something in the room - more cross breeze. But overall great! »

« Moreno's Cottages are a pleasant series of little cabins between Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. My brother and I stayed in #7. There were two twin beds, a nook and a small, separate kitchen area. It was rustic, but modern enough to feel like you had a place to relax after a hike. We did have some problems getting in, but Todd was super accommodating and had backup codes for us to use. « This is a tiny bare bones cabin. Hardly room for a couple. No stove or place to cook. There was microwave and sink. The bed was large but mattress sagged in middle. The drawers were hard to open and close. No one on premises to greet you; access entirely on internet, but internet and phone connection spotty. We did not receive emails so we had a lot of trouble getting in. However, owners were subsequently available by phone and were responsive if we had problem. The location is excellent right...
