I want to start off stating I did not get to stay at the hotel.
On the night I was planned to stay, there was a snowstorm south where I live and an executive order was given due to the road conditions for no unnecessary travel.
This was a work trip so after talking with my client, I called the hotel and told them I was unable to make it - this was the day of check-in, which was two days after their cancellation policy. I inquired about getting a credit for a future day. They said I’d have to talk to Expedia since it was purchased through them.
I reached out to Expedia and they said they would have to talk with management.
Over the course of about 8 to 10 days, I would check in and get messages back saying they still have not reached management and would get back to me as soon as they heard.
I finally heard back from Expedia saying there’s nothing they could do.
After letting us sit for about two weeks, I decided to call the hotel again just asking for future credit as I understand They have a policy, but Felt due to the restriction that day of unnecessary travel, they would be more understanding. Sadly they were not.
Disappointing by both the hotel and Expedia
