La Jolla Beach and Village - Contemporary and Bright

Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, approximately four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence has central air-conditioning (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) ! All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four in beds – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full-size beds. All mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped with dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. The living room comes with a wood -burning fireplace and there are hardwood floors throughout the unit. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. There is a full-size washer and dryer for use in the unit.

The retreat has exclusive use of a private outdoor patio in the back yard with a covered outdoor seating area, a dining table, and three sun loungers. A new BBQ has also been installed for your exclusive use. The front yard patio is for the exclusive use of the upstairs residence.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.

The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.

As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental. The retreat has off-street covered parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away.

Great place that fit our family of four comfortably. The location was perfect with easy access to the beaches of La Jolla that were just a few blocks away. The whole place was well outfitted with all the necessities include beach gear. We truly enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this nice little house. We had the entire first floor of the house. There is another similarly sized unit upstairs and a third unit in the back yard. We rarely saw anyone else and only occasionally noticed noise from people staying above us. There is a nice relaxing front patio with a little ocean peek-a-boo view and a nice back yard patio area as well. One can walk a few blocks down the street and find a little walkway to the beach. Many of the La Jolla downtown businesses are also just a brief walk away through beautiful and friendly neighborhoods. The house was also centrally located for us in the San Diego metro area and a great place to come back to after exploring.

This spotless first floor unit has a great location in a charming quiet area with ample parking on street and off. No matter what we looked for, we found it, clearly labeled so we could return it to the proper place for the next guests. The full size laundry pair was a real plus.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house is on a quiet street but an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, the farmers market, etc. It was spotless on our arrival and parking/access was easy. The home had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with Lisa was great and she is an excellent host.

This place, in a quiet neighborhood, is walking distance to almost everything in La Jolla - beaches, restaurants, the seals & sea lions, etc. Very comfortable king-sized bed and comfortable outdoor living. Highly recommend if you want to be away from the hustle & bustle of La Jolla Village, but close enough to enjoy it when you want.

This property was exactly as described, no surprises. It has a fully equipped kitchen and we were able to prepare lots of food in it. The beds were comfortable, and everything seemed very clean. Loved staying here. Lisa was very easy to reach when I had questions. We could walk to beaches, restaurants and shops and having a dedicated parking spot was a bonus. The rooms are spacious and the unit comes with everything you might think you need. We enjoyed having a private outdoor space that had both shade and sun. Great place to explore La Jolla and the San Diego area.

We loved our stay in Lisa’s home. It was comfortable, clean & tastefully decorated & she provided those little touches that made it extra special!! Plus the location was so perfect. My partner and I had a wonderful 9 days in this beautiful house and quiet neighbourhood. The check-in process was quick and easy. This is not the usual holiday home that feels cold and empty. This house feels warm, comfortable and looks easy on the eyes. It's recommended for couples and families. I would definitely come back.

I live in La Jolla and was looking for a rental for my son and grandchildren, which was comfortable and well located. This is a beautifully decorated apartment, with a great outdoor set-up (which we did not use as much as would have liked to, because it was winter). Everything is close by, from Windansea beach to La Jolla Cove to Bird Rock. I strongly recommend this apartment!

The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for our group. We could walk to the beach, many restaurants and shops. Communications with owner were efficient and timely. If I could make any suggestion, I wish a strainer was available for pasta, but really this is a small thing given everything else we could have needed for the kitchen was available. We stayed here for a week to celebrate Thanksgiving. The unit is well appointed with everything you need. Location was phenomenal. We walked to the beach, to Sugar and Scribe (a must) for breakfast, the Blue Whale (the owner is the BEST) for coffee, and downtown LaJolla for cove visits and dinner. I can't say enough good things. Amazing.

Homey property with room to spread out. The space is equipped with most house or kids gear you could want. fyi for families since I didn’t see it advertised - they have outlet covers, booster chair, changing pad, pack and play and robust cookware. Clean and modern space with the most perfect location made it a great home base for a family trip! Very communicative host. Fantastic experience. Only thing I’d ask is more condiments to share / keep among guests.

We loved our first stay at this lower duplex unit enough to make a return visit for four weeks in January 2024. We found it to be a bright, clean, and comfortable base for our visit to family in La Jolla. The kitchen is well-stocked and spacious enough for most cooking needs. The outdoor patio in the back, dedicated to this unit, is sunny and private with enough space to have a few family members over. Some of the nicer beaches around town are within walking distance. We’ve also stayed at another of Lisa’s properties and found her to be a responsive host who made contact with us to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

We recently stayed at Lisa's property for my son's spring break and had a wonderful trip! The property was just as advertised, very clean! We didn't eat in, but the property had everything that you would need if you did. Especially appreciated the washer and dryer. Communication was very good and Lisa responded promptly. The location was amazing and in a very quiet location. We did a lot of walking and especially enjoyed the farmer's market at the La Jolla Elementary School to have lunch and pick up fresh fruits and snacks. We are looking forward to returning!
