This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Her home was so inviting and filled with thoughtful touches throughout. Half our stay in the obx was unfortunately complicated with rain and wind - but we didn’t mind spending more time in our “between the blue” home which had top notch appliances, great internet, beautiful deck space including a covered area for outdoor sitting/reading, located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the sanderling community. Our kids loved the bunk bed room and their separate bathroom near the kitchen - including a sandbox/play area outside. Harris Teeter is 10min away and the Duck boardwalk is close enough to bike to with supplied bikes! We will definitely look to return with our family again. ##### Joseph L. We thoroughly enjoyed “Between the Blue”. The house was comfortable, clean and had everything we could have hoped for. The hosts were great and check in was smooth. Location is great and outdoor space was relaxing. Loved the screened in porch in the morning with my cup of coffee and my daughter loved it at night to read! The sunsets were also awesome to watch off the back deck or from the living room through the lovely windows. We will definitely be back again ❤️ ##### Tania E.
