Stayed here on a trip thru Canada heading to Maine, was a bit off the expressway but we enjoyed the hotel and their restaurant enough to stop again on our way home.
Second time staying at The Walper, after a period of 10 years or so. Still a lovely hotel. Beautiful rooms, lovely bathroom and spacious shower. Bed was great too. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking is a little awkward, but there's at least a few options and a lot nearby with free weekend parking.
I was pleasantly surprised staying there. I got a great deal. I met the kitchen manager of the bar below and he was pretty awesome! The room was clean. The room was pretty nice too! Perfect for 1 person.
Beautiful property! Even exterior is stunning when we pulled up I was in awe! Reminded me of some hotels we stayed at in Barcelona ! Super easy check in and check out! So clean, so stunning, gorgeous very clean room! Loved our room! Bed super comfortable! Beautiful bathroom! Super friendly staff everyone we encountered ! Would love to return!
Rooms are very clean and well kept. The staff are all very pleasant. They have have good restaurant downstairs with good food and staff and if you have breakfast there you can’t go wrong with the eggs Benny!
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very small and the furniture is basic and uncomfortable. Our room only had one chair to sit in, which was really basic and not comfortable at all. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was outstanding. There should also be better signage as to where to park when checking in.
This is a great hotel. We booked it last minute as we were not expecting to stay in Kitchener, but it was an outstanding addition to our trip.
The hotel is great. I can’t speak to the location (again as we were just passing through) but the grounds were well maintained. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking isn’t included, so that was the only drawback.
Attached to the same building (right around the corner) is a cute little coffee shop.
But I would highly recommend to anyone.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Last‑Minute Stay — Clean, Friendly, and Perfectly Located
I booked this hotel last minute and it ended up being one of the best overnight stays I’ve had downtown. The room was spotless, the staff were genuinely great, and the amenities were impressive for the price. There’s an awesome social/restaurant space right downstairs that made the whole place feel lively and welcoming.
The location couldn’t be better! Tons to do within walking distance, and parking right across the street made everything super easy.
Would definitely stay again!
The staff were absolutely fantastic, we loved our stay, we were only in town for a weekend visiting friends, but wished we could have stayed longer. Also, the room was decorated perfectly, it looked like boutique hotels I've stayed in all over the world, but with more space.
