Horsefly Vacation Packages

I have begun staying at budget properties this year and this is my third budget property experience and my first negative experience. The room had a terrible smell to it. The bathtub was clean but the bathroom door had brown splatters on it. I had a kitchenette and could also smell stale coffee in my room. Turns out there was coffee in the coffee pot from who knows when. The worst issue was the musty weird room smell. When I started to get a headache, I enquired about changing rooms. The guy in the makeshift lobby first said they were full, then said I could change rooms for an increased fee. I declined. After a horrible sleep I revisted the lobby the next morning where there were 2 new staff working. Again I enquired about changing rooms. They said they would call me once people check out/rooms have been cleaned so I could look at another room to see if it passed the smell test. They never called. Given their comments, about smelling other rooms, I expect most rooms are musty. This low rating is 30% due to gross smelling/not so clean room and 70% lousy service. Do better.
