Service and Staff
Property condition

  • Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities

We had stayed at this property several times many years ago and it was then known to be a high class, beautiful establishment. I understand that there is new ownership and they have been working on renovations, but there is a way to go to restore it to its former glory. Our room was fine for the price, but small things needed attention. There was an exposed electrical box on the wall with wiring uncovered except for the maurettes. The tub had no cover on the overflow. The restaurant service was pretty slack and we got the best service from one of the handymen who came by and tried to help us out. There was a cat roaming in the dining room even sitting on tables.

This is a beautiful relaxing property. BUT ...it looks like it needs more staff as the rooms were gone thru but not cleaned very well - dust - coffee pot old coffee and grounds, only decaf left in room had to go to lobby to get other. Pool and hot tubs very clean although one hot tub not working. Nice gym - one of the best I have seen in a hotel, great trails to hike. Staff was friendly but could have been a little more informative - did not know about FREE continental breakie until we stumbled on it. This place could be a real jewel but slipping because of shortage of staff and lacking upkeep - this is a slippery slope.

Peaceful setting, beautiful walking trails. Comfortable beds. Brought two children with us, so had 4 in the room (which we had booked and paid for). Booking said breakfast was included. Surprised to find only 2 cooked breakfasts were included. Would stay there again.

  • Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service

The first impression of the place was not good. Leftover food bits in the sink drainer and plug hole. Floors not swept and bedroom poor

  • Disliked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities

Maintenance is not being kept up, fridge hasn't been defrosted, chalet condition was like it hasn't been used for a long time
