Central location and large room. Easy access to subway and citi bikes. Appreciated the mini fridge and good AC. Front desk staff were very helpful throughout the whole stay and went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in midtown.

Easily walkable to/from Penn Station, Times Square etc. Staff were great, friendly and always willing to help. My only minor issue was the hotel is on a street that did not LOOK all that safe, it was dark and had some sketchy looking individuals. However I do want to stress that at no point was I worried something might occur, just be aware that it appears to look scarier than it is. We are spending another night in NYC after our cruise and I was hoping to stay here again, but unfortunately...

My son and I were “stuck” in NYC for 2 nights due to the global internet fiasco. With literally no reasonably priced rooms with more than 1 bed, I used filters to drill down and found Pod. What a cool place!!! The location could not be better for the walking tourist, and the concept is genius. What a fantastic use of space and a focus on cleanliness. If I ever find myself in NYC, I won’t be looking for a place to stay, I’ll be staying at Pod.

I often don't leave reviews for stays but this hotel was actually really amazing. Everyone is happy and eager to help. I couldn't really find a single flaw about this hotel and its services. Looking forward to staying at bigger rooms in the future!

We are delighted with our decision to book our stay at Hotel Riu Plaza New York Times Square. The hotel made us feel exceptionally valued by sending a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room in celebration of our wedding anniversary. This thoughtful gesture truly made the moment memorable and special.
The hotel's location is ideal for tourists, situated right in the heart of Times Square. Many of the city's best attractions are within walking distance, which not only makes sightseeing...

I just loved this place! So charming! Clean and welcoming! Everything walkable : metro stations, restaurants. Such a beautiful area! Parking is so easy to find. I parked my car all week with no problem, since I was using public transportation.

Walked to Times Square. Rode the ACE line downtown to see comedy at the cellar. Also to Chelsea Market and Highline. Went uptown to Hayden Planetarium and spent an afternoon walking central park.
Dinner at Norma's and Sunset Blvd on Broadway.
Concert at pier 17 rooftop.
Breakfast at Gemini diner on 2nd. Nice walk. Blueberry pancakes.

The best area to stay in Hewlett is generally around Broadway, the main thoroughfare, particularly for those seeking convenience and access to local amenities.
Broadway runs through the heart of Hewlett, offering a mix of local shops, eateries, and essential services. It's a straightforward, accessible area, making it easy to navigate and find what you need. While Hewlett is a relatively small community, Broadway serves as its central artery.
For families, staying near Broadway is a practical choice. You'll find local parks and recreational facilities nearby, providing easy options for children's activities. The convenience of having restaurants and shops within a short distance means less travel time and more relaxation.
Business travellers will also appreciate the straightforward access Broadway provides to local businesses and the surrounding areas.
When is the best time to go to Hewlett?
The best time to go to Hewlett is during the late spring (May to early June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities.
During these periods, you'll find comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, with less humidity than the summer months. This makes it ideal for exploring the local parks, golf courses, or enjoying a stroll along the nearby beaches without the peak season crowds.
Summer (July and August) is also popular, especially for those looking to enjoy the nearby Long Island beaches. However, be prepared for warmer temperatures, often exceeding 28°C, and higher humidity. This is also the busiest time for tourism, so you might encounter more people and higher prices for accommodation.
Winter (December to March) can be quite cold, with temperatures often dropping below freezing, and there's a possibility of snow. While it's generally quieter, many outdoor attractions might be less appealing.
