The property is an 1862 three level townhouse in downtown Halifax. It is only a short two block walk to the restaurants at Bishops Landing, the Halifax harbour boardwalk, and one block to the Keith's Brewery Market. There isn't an elevator but this wasn't an issue for us 70+ seniors Our room was on the third floor.
The room was tidy, nicely decorated and comfortable; however, there was a strong scent of cleaning detergent (javex) in the bathroom. As well, the sheets and towels were highly fragranced.
If you are scent sensitive, this might not be the place to stay.
The owners were quick to respond.
We would stay there again for location if not for the scent issue.

Food at restaurant was very good,remember to make reservations for dinner or probably won’t get in. Bathrooms small and outdated. Bought Lysol to spray and get rid of damp smell. Beds were comfortable, grounds were beautiful
