We were spoiled to stay here as a couple because we got to choose between two gorgeous rooms; ultimately, we stayed in the room with the big doors, which has natural light coming in on two sides of the bed. Although the property is on the host's land, it is totally private, allowing for a sense of being truly on one's own. Only a few minutes' walk from cafés and shops, this warm space offered a beautiful refuge from the city for a weekend, and we were so grateful to be able to bring our senior dog, too. The pictures provided didn’t do the space justice, we certainly didn’t expect to see the two fireplaces or the 6-element gas stove, or be so comfortable on the cushy couch. In a separate out building. It was very clean. Full sized modern kitchen. Beds were comfy and lots of towels provided. Hosts were responsive. There is a lovely yard with access to barbecue and outdoor seating if you care to cook. There is a general store and cafe about 5 minute walk away. You can have coffee your way with French press, Keurig or drip coffee options. They are in a septic and have well water which is drinkable and hosts provide spring water in a dispenser. The Dornach Pub served great pub food and also a 5 minute walk. There is a variety store across the road. Just a note if you have accessibility concerns there is a step up to the bathroom that is configured like a Jack and Jill between the bedrooms. My husband loved the wood furniture so much that Lisa connected us with her uncle who made them. We visited the uncle and ended up buying several pieces for our home! We were in the area for skiing and to explore Collingwood, and the cottage was a short drive to all of our destinations. There is a convenience store and a specialty items store just down the road in case you forget the basics or are looking for special treats.After a day in the snow, we loved going back to the comfortable couch, warm fireplace, and Netflix on the TV.We will definitely be back when we visit the area again! ##### Søs F. Lisa was so sweet, always checking to see if I was happy and comfortable. She gave me a great place to go paddle boarding with a friend. Will definitely go back! Her dogs are adorable! Cottage was beyond clean and has a very beautiful decor making everything so cozy! LOVED the living space and atmosphere. Location was perfect! We enjoyed the day in Creemore (Copper Kettle Festival) and had only a short drive back to our cottage. Only a short walk to the Dornoch Pub which had amazing service and food! Once we checked out, we had a short beautiful drive to the Blue Mountain Village! If you're looking for a central location and a great place to stay, call Lisa and make your booking!
