This property might have been good at one time. Currently it is smelly, limited dining (rushing you out) washrooms very dirty, and the rooms are very dated and smell awful.

I was a little worried about how the room would be after reading some very negative reviews. We were very happy with our room - it was clean and had everything needed. The one major issue is that our mattress was very old and soft and this caused me a lot of pain and difficulty sleeping each night. It is ridiculously soft and must be very old. We will book again but ask about the mattress. Only other very small note is that the TV is quite small for size of room so harder to see image well.

It is a lovely place by the waterfront at the West lake. We stayed there for 4 nights in early July. The beach is nice with soft sand and the longe chairs are always available. The staffs keep the property very clean. The breakfast is incredible with the lake view. The menu is simple but excellent taste. The only complaint i have is the mattress is too soft with no support and need to be replaced. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

The dooms leave a lot to be desired but the staff is very friendly and the location is a 10/10. Their beach is lovely and restaurant is good. They are well located between sandbank beaches, Wellington and Picton.

Our room was clean, air conditioned and the cleaning service was quick to come and clean when we were out of the room. However, the coffee machine didnt work very well and there was only one mirror (in the bathroom) to get ready. Other than that, everything was wonderful, homey and clean.

The problem was we stayed in Annex. Old building. Halls smell like a church basement. Room is large two bed but one right under the window air conditioner. So one bed freezes and the other one roasts. Biggest compliment was on Saturday morning we went for breakfast and was told only buffet no menu. Buffet was average but cost $27 per person WOW

Most buildings have serious mold problems, high humidity levels and are very dirty. These poor conditions increase the risk of serious health issues. Also, the restaurant is very short in staff causing abnormal delays (such as waiting 25 min. to get a drink). In addition, during my stay, there was a warning regarding high levels of nitrate in drinking water.

Beautiful scenery. Cozy rooms. Food from the restaurant was great. Has its own private beach. Price was right especially so close to the sandbanks. Staff was friendly and accommodating! My room had a ladder to an attic :) !

Resort is very "Tired". Rooms are not very sound proof so didn't get much sleep. Basically everything needs replacing. Put us back into the 70's!

The place is really nice. Very close to Sandbanks. Our room had a quite big washroom but the shower was really small and sprayed water outside the shower.
