"This little hotel is a gem. Excellent location, easy access to all parts of the city. Lowest parking rate, $45, and very attentive parking attendants. A huge food court/farmers market style is just across the street. The best breakfast is just the next door to the left, Maison Amour. Healthy options, awesome coffee, smoothies, sandwiches. The hosted is a wonderful soul. The hotel, is a bit old but perfectly kept. Atmosphere is LA cute. Lots of plants. The only thing is that their restaurant and bar are closed. But they offer great coffee in the morning. "

"We were checked in by an unfriendly and grumpy front desk employee. Basically went through the rules and threw us a key. Our hotel room had a large red stain in the entry way and splatters leading up to the bathroom. Our kids joked it looked like a crime scene. We mentioned it to the front desk and nothing was done about it. We were pretty grossed out by it throughout our stay. We had also selected (and paid extra for) a room with a balcony as we like to sit out after the kids go to sleep. The balcony was just a terrace with no outdoor furniture that directly faced another building. I don’t think the hotel should be charging more for balcony rooms if the balcony has no functional use. On the positive side, the location of the hotel is great, it was quiet and most other employees were trying their best. They seemed overworked. The person checking us out took 4 phone calls in the process. There seemed to be no one else to help her during the busy checkout hour. Overall I think there are better places to stay. "

"Everything was clean and new. All the staff was very kind and helpful. It was a great location close to everything. Close to rodeo drive, the grove, walk of fame and Hollywood sign not far. During traffic about 45 min from Santa Monica pier. Would definitely stay here again. Great breakfast too with good coffee and made to order eggs. "

"Restaurant staff and food very good. Front desk very good. Housekeeping did a poor job, cleaned room once and did not provide hand towels or wash clothes. Common areas are good with the exception of the gym which was totally inadequate. Lobby, bar, pool areas very nice. Rooms need an upgrade a little worn. Bed was very nice"

"I wanted to love this hotel but things did not go smoothly for us. We chose the Sofitel because of the pool. Upon checking in we found out the pool was closed! Maybe offer a free drink? Our room was extremely noisy, the adjoining room took a shower at 5AM and it sounded like a plane landing in our room. You could hear the doorbells from rooms surrounding us. The worst however was the unreliable wifi. I lost a business deal because the wifi wouldn’t connect at 7AM. One shining aspect of the hotel, the valet parking staff was AMAZING. Prompt and professional, they were rock stars!"

"Previously to arriving, they tried to charge my credit card for an amount above and beyond, after it clearly stated I wouldn’t be charged until I arrived. When I called to inquire about it, the staff member was extremely rude. Once I arrived, everything was fine and the staff or nice."
