"This place is a GEM. The staff was so friendly. The rooms are super cute and historic. Everything is within walking distance and you can't beat the view of mountains in the background. Their restaurant was closed as they are getting ready to renovate the entire property. Nice little bar with anything you want really. The front and back porches are so nice to sit and enjoy a cool evening. We will for sure be back after the renovations! "

"We love to stay here when visiting Black Mountain. The only thing I could say that might need improvement is the caulk in our shower. It needs replacing as it looked moldy."
"It was only an overnight stay, and the room was a bit spartan. However, it was quite clean and everything worked well. One a very minor problem, as noted by others, is that the toilet required a long flush or multiple flushes. My problem is that I forgot to ask for additional towels. I checked in at night and by the time I noticed that I need extra towels, I didn't think anyone would be around who could fulfill that request."
"Our family enjoyed our stay at the Lake House! It was beautiful and conveniently located to several shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries. We were only a 20 minute drive to Asheville, Old Fort, and the Catawba River Trails for hiking and sightseeing. The house was nicely furnished with comfortable furniture and was well-stocked with kitchen and bath essentials. The outdoor patio was a beautiful space to enjoy the end of day activities. Our host was a great communicator and checked in with us several times to make sure we had everything we needed."

"Ok this view is 12/10 morning, noon, and night. On the driveway: I can see how it might worry some people but it wasn't that bad. I had a Yukon (pretty long) and could five point turn it around to get it turned. The trick is to turn left slightly and then pull all the way forward as far as you can. This gives plenty of space. Beautiful cabin and fun selection of movies. We were born in 78 and 80 and the movies were perfect for our era. Our teens were happy too! We definitely plan to come back when we can stay for longer instead of just a stopover night. "
