We had an amazing stay at the Hallmark Inn! The owner was truly a 10,000/10—so sweet, welcoming, helpful, and kind from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the entire property felt safe and peaceful. Traveling can be stressful, but staying here made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place with exceptional hospitality, cleanliness, and a genuine sense of care, I highly recommend the Hallmark Inn. Thank you for making our stay such a wonderful experience!

There is simply no better place to stay in San Antonio near - practically on - the Riverwalk. The rooms at Hotel Contessa are spacious, modern and clean. All the usual amenities are available plus extras like luxury beddings. Our room came with a fantastic view of the river above marriage island. At night the little boats floated past with colored lights making it a peaceful and pleasant visual treat. By far and away the best part of this superb hotel were the people who delivered over the top service, friendliness and professionalism. From the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant staff all were way above average. But the group that was absolutely world class - as in I've never experienced this level of service from this part of a hotel was the Valet team. These fine men would hustle back and forth getting our car and do so the moment they saw us walk out the door. They were friendly, efficient and ran like a well oiled machine. When we had questions on directions they went out of their way to make sure we knew where we were going. Our rental car was kept spotless inside and out and everyone of them never hestitated to help with a bag or luggage. A finer group of people in this line of hospitality work you will not find anywhere. To top it all off the rate we paid was slightly less than hotels that did not have as good a location or spacious rooms offered at the Contessa. Without a doubt we will always stay here on future trips to San Antonio

Eli was helpful for for our late arrival (2am). He got us extra towels for the children, pillows and fresh blankets for the pull-out bed. Breakfast was plentiful and filling. I'd prefer the old school coffee pot versus the digital automatic ones. They were slow. Lisa, the front decimal and Liz front desk receptionist were very helpful when we checked out. Chased me down to give me a cart. And found a lost inhaler that my daughter left extra. Thanks to Lisa, Liz and Eli!!!!!

Great hotel! Fit our needs. Great location. Breakfast needs improvement.
