"The staff was extremely helpful. The pool was not open for the entire stay; other people continued to use it despite that. We did not. The staff seems to be making great efforts to improve the property. They even left to buy items we needed during our stay. The entire property smells like smoke. I am unsure if there is a smoking permitted room: but people smoke in the rooms or on the balconies. It was annoying at best and definitely a concern for anyone with asthma or anyone who just hates that smell. The room itself was clean as was the bathroom. The heat and AC worked well. TV provided night time entertainment and the small fridge was nice to have. The pet friendly option is a huge perk when traveling and the property was very well maintained for pets: grass cut: didn’t smell like pets at all. No elevator: so it was a bit of exercise going up to the second floor but I didn’t feel this took away from the trip. Views of the lake are incredible and the putt putt is always really nice course. We did not use the gym. Continental breakfast was provided each morning. Overall I would want to visit the property before returning. It was effective and I expect it to be improved over time given the dedication of the staff."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Driftwood cottage! The property is gorgeous...the cottage was super clean, comfortable, and so well furnished...we thought it was even nicer that the pictures. We've stayed up around Barcelona beach many times...this lakefront location just can't be beat!! Thanks again...hope to be back!"

"This historical property is a must see. Being that it is right on Lake Erie it offers one an amazing view and direct access to the beach and water. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was cozy and very comfortable. Much of the furniture are period pieces making one feel like they had time travel to the 1930's.The owner thought of everything to keep you occupied regardless of the weather. The selection of outside yard games is amazing and if it happens to rain the list of inside activities includes; puzzles, paints, markers, binoculars, videos, books and the list goes on. One should never hear from the young ones, "I'm bored!"We enjoyed some of the local tourist activities including the Dunkirk Lighthouse tour, The Pier, Panama Rocks, a historical steamboat ride on Lake Chautauqua, and the numerous State Parks."
