"Have never been to multi story hotel property without a elevator. Not a deal breaker but certainly inconvenient. Only one ice machine and it was on the main floor but it was clean and working. Check in was pleasant, room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are tiny but clean and everything was functional. Breakfast was basic self serve fare. Waffles, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, bagels etc.. Fresh and well stocked, just don't wait until close to 10am and expect the works to be available. They understandably let things wind down. Overall I would highly recommend a stay here. We were in town for a wedding, stayed 2 nights and were very happy with what we got for the price we paid."

"A really nice man, I believe the owner, checked me in. I didn’t see any staff after that. It was quiet and convenient for my stay on my Friends and Family Tour ‘26. I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal but I was pleasantly surprised at the comfortable bed and the clean room. A bonus, there’s a great coffee shop called Mia’s in Shelbina. It’s in the grocery store with a drive up."

"This place was perfect for our families guys weekend. They enjoyed playing bags, shooting pool, fishing, grilling, and sitting on the porch hanging out. They had plenty of room to spread out in this spacious property. The property was well stocked and clean. The yard around the lakes was well maintained allowing easy access for fishing which was extra appreciated! The host was super responsive to questions in advance. We will definitely be back again and appreciate having such an amazing place to stay when we’re in the area."

"Very nice cabin with a lot of privacy! We had our dog with us and it was a great place for him to be able to enjoy sitting out on the beautiful porch with us. Pretty well everything we needed was right there. It was very clean and lots of room- especially since there were just the 2 of us and our dog. Scott and his parents were very helpful getting us on Wifi and making sure we didn't need anything when we first arrived. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area. Highly recommend!!!"
Holder House at Beautiful Mark Twain Lake.

"This place and the hosts are amazing. First, the hosts were the most accommodating I've ever worked with. We had a small issue and they responded, in person, to help us out. The communication was fantastic and thorough. Can't beat the hospitality.The house is excellent. Plenty of space, large yard and driveway. It also has everything you could need outside of your food etc. The house is within 10 minutes of the Route U boat ramp and 20 minutes to a town with everything you could need. I highly recommend the place."

"The home was wonderful, clean and we loved the history. It was close to a small park for my daughter and she loved the rose garden and coy pond across the street. The caretaker there was so nice he gave her a bucket of food to feed the fish. But just fyi there isn't a central tv only 2 or 3 in a few of the bedrooms, which we did not have a problem with. All in all a great stay!"
