We have stayed here twice and absolutely love it. It's big enough for family and is has everything needed. The host is a joy. In most sure we will be back!
We enjoyed our stay! The home is beautiful and has plenty of room. It accommodated our large family group with no issues. As others have mentioned, the cookies were a delightful treat to arrive to and communication with the host was smooth. Would stay here again!

Beautiful cozy and comfortable!!! This property had everything you needed!!! Everything!!!! 9 out of 10!!!! Love love love this place! The host was Awesome!!!!!!
This is the most adorable house. large rooms, spacious living room and dining room, well stocked, absolutely loved the historic charm and decor. LOVED our time there!
Clean, comfortable, roomy, quite lovely! We rented the night of the annual lighted tractor parade the week before Christmas. It was a perfect place to watch that parade from whether you wanted to watch from inside or outside. Our little ones really loved it and our older ones could watch from the warmth of the inside.
We were visiting our hometown for the weekend.
The Sneed St house was perfect for our group of six…plenty of room.
The location is wonderful…near downtown, restaurants, grocery store.
The lovely decorating allowed the historic charm to shine through.
Will definitely stay here next year during our annual visit.
The parents and 4 grandparents stay at Sneed House on Parents weekend. While the home was 23 miles from Mizzou it was an easy drive. The home is large and very comfortable. The house was clean and everything need was provided. I highly recommend staying here.
We had all of our kids and grandkids stay here while in town for a family funeral. Not a good event, but what a great place to stay. Lots of room to stretch out yet plenty of room to play, chat and just reconnect with each other. A beautiful old house in great shape on a quiet street. We are so glad we found this and hope on any future returns to stay there again.
This home was charming! The kitchen had everything you could want. It was clean and everything worked. The host was a delight and the fresh chocolate chip cookies made us smile. It was a wonderful weekend!
It’s a very comfortable, roomy and well cared for property. We all enjoyed our rooms and comfortable beds. Loved community space even got to play cards on the big dinning room table. Close enough to downtown to easily walk, shop and eat. We plan on coming back. Hopefully when the Museum across the street is open. Great stay.
Family Christmas & the annual Lighted Tractor parade
Comfortable accommodation for our out-of-area family which includes small children. Room for a larger gathering of family during the parade which our multiple littles really enjoyed from the curb as slower adults took it in from the spacious front porch. This was our second year and we hope to continue in the future. We appreciated the decor which was festive but simple and child friendly.
Very roomy, comfortable beds, very clean, lots of little "extra" amenities (coffee, creamer, shampoo/conditioner, snacks-even had homemade cookies for us! Close to gas and grocery. Heat didn't work when we first arrived, but owners came right away and got it going! House is very charming and quaint! Worked well for our family of 6 adults and 3 kids for the weekend. 20 min. to Columbia for the ball game.
I knew it would be hard to find hotel rooms for several friends and families, including our own, in Columbia for Mizzou’s graduation so I expanded my search to nearby towns. This charming old home was PERFECT for our group. We had 7 people that arrived at different times and there was PLENTY of space for us. It was a quick trip back and forth to Como (about 25-30 minutes to south side of campus) and traffic was never an issue. We spent most of our time on the front porch and even had dinner at “home” one night vs. going out. The town of Centralia is cute and the local shops were fun to walk to and wander. We especially enjoyed the coffee shop in town and the public gardens at the historic home across the street. I highly recommend this house if you have a large group headed to a big event at UM. Very clean, large spaces and bedrooms, quiet neighborhood - just what we needed to avoid the stress of a big day. Too bad my son graduated and we can’t come back for another graduation! Maybe for a football game as an alumnus! M-I-Z!
(My only minor critique is that, while quaint and period to the house, the claw foot tubs are difficult to get in and out of. We had some seniors with us and they opted for no showers as it was tough to maneuver for them. Maybe the lower level bathroom could be converted to a modern shower. Not a huge deal for us as we have a claw foot in our own old home, but something to consider if your clientele is more senior.)
The house was very comfortable. Loved the front porch with the swing. Quiet place and just across the street was the museum and rose garden which was beautiful! Lots of other things around the area to visit.
Beautiful piece of history! Tastefully decorated and welcoming. The host was very responsive and provided a lot of local information. We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.
Loved the house. It is an old house that is in great shape and is beautiful. It’s a great location, right across from Chance Gardens and close to downtown. We loved the homey touches of homemade cookies and snacks left for us!
