"This location had a lot to offer, closed to two amazing beaches. Things you should know before booking this place is all hills, golf carts take you around, not the easiest to get a golf carts at times, the beach on the property not swimming able due to nasty seaweed, the hilltop pool is the best pool and amenity. Definitely no matter where you stay best to rent a car but it cannot be driven anywhere near your room. You need to park in a lot and either walk to your room or walk to lobby to get a golf cart. Other big thing to know is that they will not come in to clean your room at any point unless you want to pay an additional 120 or 130. If you asked they will drop off new towels to your room and it your responsibility to put out the trash and old towels and call for them to be picked up. There are lots of chicken, cats and two dogs( dogs located by the beach and parking lot) that roam the lot freely. Overall would recommend but just keep this in mind when you book."
"This is THE hotel to stay in in St. Croix. It is right by the ferry to the island that has Christiansted's beach facing the harbor, so it's super easy to get to the island beach. The hotel owns the ferry, so hotel goers get to ride the roughly one-minute boat ride for free. The hotel is recently renovated and gorgeous. I especially loved the pool and the peacock room, both of which are just beautiful. We stayed in one of the alleyway rooms, which are the hotel's most basic. They have a very nice layout but I was hoping for a fancier room. On the last night, the hotel kindly gave my son and I an amazing, free upgrade to one of their nicest rooms, with a private balcony overlooking all of the boats and the island, kindly facilitated by Ms. Janeta. Their cleaning staff was especially kind, especially once my friend left and I was traveling alone with my infant son. I love the hotel and St. Croix so much that I entended our stay. The bellhops carried all of our things during our three room changes. Shoutout to their bellhop Jeff. Ms. Anne on the cleaning staff was also especially kind to us. At the front desk Shanequa was very nice to us. The 3 PM check-in can be slow and feel slightly chaotic at times, but it is worth is. The hotel's restaurant, Prime Harbour, is overpriced but good. I got the surf n' turf which was the most expensive in the area but they give you an extremely generous portion of lobster. Virgin Coffee Roasters is located at the foot of the hotel and is good. "
"Our stay at Villa Island Paradise was exactly the escape we needed. The room was impressively clean, and the staff was so welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. Having laundry on-site was a huge plus for refreshing our gear after beach days, and being so close to local shops made grabbing daily essentials a breeze. It’s a rare find that feels both high-end and totally relaxed—we’re already planning our return!"
"Our stay at Emerald Beach Resort was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The room itself was mediocre at best, but the beds and pillows were absolutely awful—easily some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever experienced.
The bigger issue was the complete lack of basic functionality and service. The phone in our room didn’t work at all (no dial tone), and the TV wouldn’t load Netflix. We reported both issues on day one and followed up every single day of our 7-day stay. Not once were these problems resolved.
We spend our days out exploring and expect to come back and relax in the evenings. Instead, we were met with ongoing issues and zero follow-through. Being told repeatedly that something will be taken care of—and then having nothing done for an entire week—is unacceptable.
This was a complete failure in both maintenance and customer service. I would not stay here again."
"Good room everything worked. Very clean.Great staff, fast breakfast, great location by downtown. Facilities are a little worn.
Staying there again next week."
