"The Crandall Mountain Lodge was an attractive, pleasant, modest hotel with a historic mountain vibe. Very clean and well maintained the unit I had was quiet and comfortable. Everything worked well and was in very good shape. There was no air-conditioning but the room had an effective ceiling fan and windows that opened easily and caught the breeze. I especially liked the gas fireplace for cool mornings and the comfortable bed. A tray with specialty tea and a cookie was waiting for me and my stay was most enjoyable."

Prince of Wales Hotel

Prince of Wales Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Stepping into the Prince of Wales Hotel felt like stepping into a time machine, such a beautiful old building, full of character. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, each one going out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The elevator was quite the ride (in a fun, old-hotel kind of way), and our room was cozy and warm. One tip: since it's an older hotel, if you're feeling a bit cold, crank up the heater and head out for a walk, it'll be nice and warm by the time you get back. You can also ask for an extra heater or blanket. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and both were delicious. Add in the lake view, and every meal felt worth savoring. They also host a history talk every evening at 7 PM about Waterton Park and the hotel itself, which was a lovely touch, and there are beautiful walking paths right around the property. It os very close to the falls, hiking paths and the town centre itself and you can see the hotel as you are driving into the town. It also has .ery Instagram worthy places."

"We were in an upstairs room with no elevator so we were concerned about toting our heavy luggage up to the room. There was no need for concern as the office staff were quick to help and willingly carried our cases up the stairs to our room. We had the same experience when we left. We phoned the main desk when we were ready to leave - a young man arrived almost immediately and not only took our heavy luggage downstairs but loaded the suitcases into our car. (Two older travelers.)"
