The property is located along the busy highway so as far as hanging outside chilling by the fire pit, etc, it is a bit loud and distracting, but it was also fun to see all the travelers going by. We arrived in the evening after hours and our room number was a bit hidden in the bushes so we had a hard time finding it at first but just had to call and had immediate assist! I didn't initially realize there were more supplies in the office downstairs (soap, creamer, etc.). There is also a general store & gas less than a mile to the west. The location is a bit further from both Acadia and Bar Harbor than most options, but not significantly so where you'd have to really plan for extra time to get anywhere.
