We were in town for a quick weekend to catch a couple Giants games and chose to stay at LUMA due to its very close proximity to Oracle Park.
Proximity to the ball park cannot be beat however know that traffic gets VERY busy in the area up to a couple hours before game time. We were often heading back to the hotel before game time so we got caught in traffic AND paid surge prices.
Hotel was super clean and comfortable, pleasant staff, everything you’d expect when paying these prices. Really...

When we arrived the room was unusually shaped. Long and narrow. However it turned out to be fine. The overall size was the same as a regular room. The bed was extremely comfortable. Firm mattress which is what my wife and I like. We didn't like the pillows but we find its the same everywhere. Very soft. The room was clean. The restaurant was good. We had dinner once and breakfast twice. All 3 times it was good. We used the valet parking. The staff was good. We never waited long for our vehicle....

Lots of parking, free parking for guests. The property is old but like an old style motel with amazing views of broadway from the upper floor balcony rooms. Absolutely great for solo Travellers, it was refreshing to live in this kind of setting. Since its on the street, can get a bit noisy late into the night & early into the morning, but I loved that part too !!

Our stay was actually amazing. This hotel is in the perfect area to explore San Francisco. Super close to fisherman’s warf, lots of local pubs and food, close views of the golden gate and Alcatraz.
As for the ELEVATORS, the people reviewing this place complaining there’s only one elevator are very entitled and whiny. Yes there’s was only one elevator working at a time, no it wasn’t an issue. We stayed here for 6 days and didn’t have one issue getting an elevator up or down and we were on the...
