We loved the Rex! The location was excellent! Pharmacies around the corner for snacks and incidentals. I enjoyed looking at the collection of books while sipping on the free wine from 5 - 6 pm each day!
Location at Union square made easy access to all public transportation and walking to Chinatown. Only short walk to Bart station which we used to/from airport. Staff were best I’ve experienced. Friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast and happy hours were delicious and abundant. Hotel is updated, clean ...

The room is clean, neat and pleasant. It is great breakfast is included unlike other hotels around the area. Breakfast ...

This hotel is fantastic! It’s one of our favorite hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are comfy, mostly quiet, and the staff is very helpful. The location can’t be beat for activities and dining options. It’s very close to the starting point for Gray Line bus tours, too.
