This is a lovely hotel and I would highly recommend it for groups, with a car, or people who want to enjoy the extensive premises and beautiful position on the river. However it's not for everyone, namely me, travelling alone, during the week, in the winter. I don't know if this will change over the coming year, but the only food I could get was a two-item breakfast menu room service, or an extremely limited room service dinner menu, both meals during strict hours. There's a small bar open in the evenings but it doesn't serve food. For anything else it's at least a 20 minute walk, or a trip on the subway, which is conveniently close, so I didn't suffer - but - I didn't have any great options.
I cut my stay short because of this but the staff were lovely about it. Expedia - less so, but after a brief struggle they did give me a refund for the remaining days.
