"We had a good one-night stay at Hotel Garrett while visiting San Francisco for a concert at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The location was the biggest selling point. It was only a 12-minute walk to the venue, so we could park at the hotel and avoid the hassle of finding parking near the concert. Restaurants and shops were also within walking distance. The room was a little small but perfectly fine for my husband and me. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the TV was nice. However, there was no refrigerator or microwave, very little drawer space, and the coffee machine only had tea and decaf. The closet was awkwardly arranged, and the shower area was quite dark due to the lack of lighting. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were easy, and the common areas were clean. I also appreciated having to use a room key to enter from the parking garage and access the elevator. Parking cost $40 plus tax, and the assigned spaces were fairly small. The surrounding area felt safe during the day, but we were more cautious at night. I wouldn't feel comfortable staying here alone. Overall, we paid around $100 for the night and felt it was a good value. We'd definitely stay again for another concert at Bill Graham."
