"Old, rustic English inn with great charm. Room was clean enough, though rather dark, and bed was comfortable. No refrigerator, which really is a must when traveling. Had to request one, which didn't arrive until the next day. The breakfast was exceptional for an American hotel. Fresh berries and other fruit, homemade berry coffee cake, real eggs, and many other wonderful choices. Ice water available all day to refill your water bottles. The tavern had excellent drinks and food. The large sitting area had a gentleman playing the piano. Very enjoyable. We walked to Forest Park and the free St. Louis Zoo inside the park. Only complaints are parking fee, and there was a tornado warning during the evening while we were in our room for the night and no one answered at the front desk. We weren't given any instructions as to what to do in case of such an emergency, which is probably common for the area. Luckily, the tornado disappeared before reaching St. Louis."

"Yes the air conditioner effectively cooled pretty quickly. I would have liked to have more food options on site. I like the use the stove as a timer. The microwave worked as intended. There was something I thought the kitchen needed but I don't remember what exactly what it was. But there is sign in the room to go to the front desk to see if they have something from you home experience. The desk by the tv was just the right height for me and I used it much more than I thought I would. It was also nice to have several outlets to charge things including right on the desk. I had good good interactions with staff. Overall I had a most excellent experience at this particular location. "

"At check in, Steven was very rude and difficult, and we won't be customers at your hotel again becase he was so rude. Also, the pullout bed had human hairs and debris on the mattress. However, the breakfast staff and selection was great (with some healthy options), and so was the check out staff that morning. Overall, the place was good. But Steven ruined the whole experience for us, as well as the filthy mattress. ."

"Can't believe I paid almost $100 for this. The floor was sticky and disgusting, and you can tell that the entire building needs a serious makeover. Even the ice bucket had a crack at the bottom of it. Tried to call the front desk and the phone didn't work. Gives seriously shady vibes. Save your money. The one redeeming factor was the location."
