We loved our stay at the Cheshire. The author themed rooms were a hit with this bookish couple. Great location with easy access to the highway, Forest Park, and more. And the Fox and the Hound is a great little cozy space!
It was a unique place, nice to have a pub close. Staff was friendly and room was clean. The breakfast had some highs and lows, would have liked to see a little bit more variety for gluten free patrons. Basso next door has great happy hour food and drinks. There is a Starbucks on property also. We were able to Uber everywhere we wanted to go with no issues.
Upscale British antiques and furnishings. Comfortably stylish room accommodations.
Wonderful, helpful staff.
The bar is the best feature.
Great stay.

Charming and quaint alternative to a Holiday Inn. It was renovated 10-15 years ago but not much care since then. The pool was allegedly open still (mid September) but when we looked out to go use it, there was debris in it and it wasn’t very inviting. The price was affordable and it was pet friendly, I only wish we could have experienced it during its heyday years ago when it was properly maintained and cleaned.
Very charming property. We loved learning about a new author and the nice breakfast. Free street parking on the street is plentiful so I wouldn't pay for hotel parking. On-site restaurant was very loud and didn't have kid's menu but we made do.
Lovely place to stay. The location was great and allowed us to walk in Forrest Park every morning of our stay. Beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good.
One criticism- I wish they would update the lightbulbs in the hallways to warm white LED. The sickly color the fluorescent bulbs give off make everything an ill/greenish tint to it, giving more of a horror movie vibe. It could be so much more theme appropriate warm glow and make the hallway inviting.
The Cheshire is a great stay. Convenient location, great staff, yummy breakfast, free parking and all with so much character. What’s not to love? Ashley made our stay fun with all her energy and was always available with suggestions for yummy places to eat!
Suck a cute place. We did not eat on site, but their restaurants looked fabulous. We chose to eat in the Italian area near by which was fantastic. The charm of this place is lovely! We will definitely be back to stay.
We just spent one night here. It’s a great location. Close to Forest Park and the Hill. Hotel is very different and beautiful but a little run down but not terribly. I liked the European feel to it. Room was large. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. Bar was cozy and nice.
Overall, the stay was good. The hotel has unique decor, fresh fruits, good breakfast, and fantastic coffee. The bed was comfortable. The room was not clean. I found several long black hair on the edge of the bathtub and the room’s baseboards were very dusty
Hotel itself is fun due to the theme & decor. I appreciated the breakfast and day long coffee & tea. The room was tired and could use a deep clean, but the bed was very comfortable.
