10/10 Excellent
"The residence surpassed our expectations. It was an ideal home for our family of seven. The neighborhood was lovely, just blocks from the zoo. Communication with the homeowner was excellent. We eagerly anticipate booking again and thank you, Lisa."
"This property was in a great location. It’s walking distance to the Zoo and Turtle Park (along with another playground). While it was too hot for us to explore the larger park in which the Zoo was located, that proximity was a big factor in our choice of location. We had once prior visited St Louis but stayed downtown. We did not enjoy the downtown area with our three kids ages 10 and younger at the time. Because of the heat, we chose to drive to our destinations in and around the city. The Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, City Museum and the Gateway Arch were all just minutes away from the house. Definitely have a meal from Pizzeria Di Gloria. The pizza was fabulous!! Be forewarned, finding parking on a Saturday evening proved challenging. We brought our dog and felt very comfortable walking her through the neighborhood. The house was clean and tidy when we arrived. I would recommend looking at the included amenities closely if you plan to do any cooking. The kitchen supplies were not as extensive as I would’ve hoped. Spices, a toaster, coffee pot (other than the Keurig) and a spare roll of paper towel would’ve been appreciated. The linens were minimal so pack an extra blanket and an extra towel or two. The seating inside the home was limited so if you are filling each bed to capacity, either be prepared to sit on the floor or to move chairs around the house to accommodate down time. The hosts were responsive and respectful. It was a pleasure to stay in this house. "
Made of stacked glass in a restored art deco style, this glass house from the 1930s continues to flourish with tropical trees, hanging plants and a large fountain.
Nature, history and cultural institutions come together in one of the United States’ largest urban parks, which buzzes with St. Louis’ dynamic community spirit.
