The lovely Hotel Villa Santa Catarina is Guatemalan-owned. Beautiful two pools, great view of the lake, and a short tuk-tuk ride to Panajachel. The restaurant on site is fantastic for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Room was spacious - no A/C, but not a problem with the cool lake breeze at night.

This oasis is even better than the photographs. Blown away by the beauty of the property. The hotel was at capacity but I felt like I was the only guest and had the pool to myself most of the time. Don’t hesitate or waste time looking at alternatives.
