"We like staying here when in town. Good location and it’s quiet. They are pet friendly too. Pool was closed down permanently and filled with dirty at time of stay. Not sure why. Rooms are clean and nice. Mattress and pillows in my opinion need to be upgraded a bit. Rough on body when staying multiple nights. "

"It was a great stay, house keeping staff was good and quick. It was nice coming back to a clean room. The only bad thing is the toilets where way too small, not a simple request obviously, but as someone who isn’t really that “big” i felt uncomfortable and off trying to use them. "

"Room was clean enough. Breakfast was nice, many offerings, but it said initially that it was included on Expedia's site. You find out that you have to pay $25.00 upon arrival for a ticket for a glass of wine or beer in the evening, and breakfast. Not quite truth in advertising. Overall, a good experience."

"Why leave the Madonna Inn when you can do it all there. No, but really! It has everything!!!! The town of SLO is cute too, but wow this place really has it all! Live music, spa, pool, cafe/bakery, restaurant, garden, horse trail riding… & more. All the rooms are unique and the staff is very friendly. Thank you Mrs. Madonna for keeping the dream going! "The property is nice and clean. However, it's right next to the freeway so it's pretty loud. The receptionist who checked us in didn't informed us that the parking is nnot free. All she said was it's going to be $100 deposit as an accidental incident. When we checked out in the morning, we were charged $20 for parking. With that said, we're not planning on stay here again!! I like people/workers to be transparent!!"

"Price was pretty good, they put us in a room over the laundry room which vibrated and made me feel nauseous until the heaters in that laundry AC area stopped, we were near the ice machine, which also woke me up several times in the night, there was hair in the tub -two places on the wall of the shower, and the button to start the shower was broken. The breakfast was actually pretty yummy with healthy eggs and almond milk for your cereal or coffee and a lot of fixings for your oatmeal."

"I had high hopes as this was a family member’s favorite place to stay in years past. My family has stayed at a different (franchise) place in years past so I was looking forward to something a little more upscale. So let’s begin with what I liked. It is a pretty place, the staff is friendly and the cookies, coffee and tea offered in the lobby were a nice touch. It is close to the shuttle drop for the Thursday night Farmer’s Market too. The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, we got a room that was in what my husband called the basement (level below ground) that was dark and smelled musty. The shutters on the window were broken. They were putting new carpeting on the lobby stairs when we checked in, so there is some upkeep happening so maybe they just hadn’t gotten to the lower level rooms for upkeep. I also did not like that after booking this place, we were charged $15 per night to park (open parking lot that includes their restaurant parking) plus a resort fee (I do not like resort fees and find them disingenuous to the consumer as if the price of the room is not sufficient to cover the amenities, like the pool which we did not use)."
