"I stayed with my husband and toddler for five days. They gave us a free room upgrade at check-in. We picked this hotel for the location since it was convenient for highway access. We're originally from the area so we knew what we were looking for. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a nice view of the lake. They provide a good breakfast with decent eggs and tasty pancakes. There's plenty of free parking. If I was a tourist, I probably wouldn't want to stay here since I wouldn't say it's exactly modern or has an overall good vibe. It's slightly depressing and it might be a combo of the dated decor and building and also the sad looking clientele. That said, the employees are nice and helpful and the rooms are clean so if you're strapped for cash and just need a bed to sleep in it's fine. But it's not one of those places you go to for the ambiance."

"The hotel was beautiful. Very open feel and staff were friendly. When you walk in you smell the smoke from the Spanish restaurant instantly. If smoke bothers you, beware as it spreads over entire hotel. The beds are firm which was not great for my spinal issues. Our tv didn’t work and there was no hotel bartender. Had to try and get seat at restaurant to get a drink."

"This hotel was amazing and beautiful and very clean..the staff were so kind and accommodating, anything you need they are on it immediately ..the downfall is they turn the heat off at night in the rooms something having to do with the weather I dont understand thier explanation but I stayed may 7th thru may 11th still cold and I have to say the town of Salem was amazing and one of the hostess ladies that work at the tavern the bar in the hotel was very snappy to me when I asked her a question but I didnt let that bother me because there is more kind than mean...she was working the evening of Saturday night 9th ..she needs an additude adjustment by management...but I 100% give this 4 stars ...you will love it!!!"

"Amazing stay. Rooms were modern and very well kept. Guest staff was super helpful and kind. Bartender at the restaurant was a blast and very attentive. Beautiful view of the ocean from our room. I would definitely stay here again and suggest it to anyone!"

"Breakfast was great! Property was old from the exterior and needed to be painted and parking lot needed a high pressure wash. Did not represent the name “Crown Plaza” Room was clean. Television was old and was not a smart TV that streamed services could be accessed. Pool was tiny, little bigger than a jacuzzi, very disappointing. "

"Definitely need improvement in the rooms. A handle on the dresser was broken and thus the drawer was unusable. Had a thermostat in the room, but it was not hooked up at all. There were people partying in the hotel until 2:00 a.m. with music blasting throughout the entire hotel, but there was no response or action taken by hotel staff."
