"Excellent location. Only issue was lack of food available on the second evening due to staff shortages. ( not really what you want to hear when you are hungry). The bathroom was lovely, however it was a little high to climb into the shower, bath and someone who was suffering with a bad a leg found it hard going, also getting out of the bath/shower there was no hand rail to support. "

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "

"Location is everything and the Feathers is right in the heart of the very lovely Helmsley. Room was very comfortable in an annex at the back of the property. The breakfast was very good, the chef can poach an egg properly which can often be a challenge.
