The upsides were the staff was very friendly, there was breakfast, the beds were comfortable, the pool area was nice, and it was within walking distance of the beach and lots of food. The negatives were the cleanliness wasn't great. Breakfast tasted good but the eggs are undercooked and didn't make us feel well after. The hotel rooms are not maintained. One room had a toilet that kept running and an air conditioner thats flap was taped up, the other room had a water heater that didn't always work and a sink drain that was mostly clogged. All of the furniture was also very worn down. Overall because of the friendliness of the staff, free breakfast, price and location, i would stay there again. It is located close to a bicycle or scooter rental place if you want to get to Ban Phe ferry terminal. One of the front desk ladies has great English and was able to coordinate a minibus back to Bangkok to pick us up right near the hotel. 5 stars for her hospitality and help!
