We had an absolutely wonderful stay here.
It is our second time.
The location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere we needed. One block from the waterfront. Very walkable. Our unit came with a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a multi cooking option stove. Beautiful place settings, and every tool you could possibly need to prepare a full meal.
We actually hosted a dinner party during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond by providing extra place settings and making sure we had everything we needed.
The gym is impressively equipped - truly set up for any type of workout, which made it easy to stay on our routine. The bedding and towels were luxurious and added an extra level of comfort that made the stay
feel special. Washer and dryer in the unit was awesome.
Overall, a great second experience from start to finish. We'd happily stay again.

The property is amazing and the staff were polite and very attentive. It’s a negative for me that I couldn’t take my 8 year old in the outdoor pool, but I’m sure if i wasn’t there with a child I’d appreciate a kid-free zone. The indoor pool was pretty filthy, with some wrappers and things floating in the water. The room service food was surprisingly just okay, with watery omelettes, minimalist potatoes for breakfast, a namesake pork sandwich that leaned toward a Cuban but took a left hand toward a crockpot pork. The chefs plate charcuterie was fine except for some form of pate that appeared as if the chef had chewed up some prosciutto , formed it into a rectangle, and pressed two pistachio bits it. I figured it for a nasty kitchen prank on the wealthy snobs paying $35 for a lunch able, so I left it behind. I can’t lie — the whole milk from a local farm that was supplied on each floor’s coffee bar was the best milk I’ve ever tasted in my life. I literally skipped the coffee and drank the milk by the glass, this cannot be overstated as trivial as it seems.

9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,766 reviews)
I had a wonderful stay at Portland Harbor Hotel and would absolutely recommend it! The location is perfect—right in the heart of the Old Port, making it easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived, always going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with a cozy yet upscale feel.
One of my favorite parts was the outdoor courtyard—it’s such a relaxing spot to unwind after a day exploring Portland. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Maine!

Beautiful modernized old home. Very clean. Staff was friendly. Bathroom does not have enough storage or shelf space for those women that travel.

We only stayed for a night but we had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and what truly made the experience stand out was the exceptional staff, Richard. When we asked him for a lunch recommendation, he suggested a fantastic local spot! His knowledge of the area and willingness to go the extra mile ...
