"I came to the island for my 30th Bday with a few friends. Not only was it an amazing stay but the staff who help out with the island were fantastic. Big shout out to Les for making the stay welcoming and comfortable and generally just showing us a good time. Everything was clean and went smooth, no issues with anything. It was certainly fitting calling it sunset island, some of the best I have ever seen."

Both stays were lovely, our favourite however was our winter stay as there was a real feeling of coziness as the snow was on the ground as we looked over the water from the cedar hot tub. "We love to experience spring early and then return home for spring again. The accommodation allowed us to stay cozy with cooler spring weather than we have experienced in the past. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment that allowed us to prepare our meals ourselves. Our dog loved the accommodation as she could see out the screen door to watch the goings on and it was a great location for her walks."

However, the way the property is portrayed on the web site, we expected an ocean fronting unit with access to the shore from the door of the unit. That is not accurate. It is down the driveway, across the main road of the island and 7 - 10 min walk (for us) to a rocky (but very nice) beach. The owner has done a nice job with the unit, small hot tub in small private deck and the sauna across the street and down...

"I had a little family reunion here & the lounge & BBQ area was perfect. The staff were wonderful & accommodating & even u tubed a rendition of “when the Saints go marching in” as we all met as Saint is our last name. The only negative was my room was in the front & I could hear traffic noise especially motorcycles so ask for a room in the back."
