"The manager put me and my girls in a room that smelled like death. I took pictures of the bed with the same sheets on from the previous guest with black hair still in the bed. The tub had some kind nasty brown stuff by the drain and when I went to the front desk to report it and asked for a clean room all he said was “I just walked that room and it was clean”, he ended up putting us in a different room on another level which the room ended up having roaches that I believed that was coming from the trash room which was a few feet’s away from my room. It doesn’t seem to look like they take pride in this Extended Stay which is now own by new owners and call Relax Inn. This hotel should be shut down with all the short cuts that they are taking with the lack of cleanliness and no pest control. Being that they are pet friendly that could be another reason why it attracts roaches, they love the dog food. If you see roaches trust and believe they will start to see mice and rats! Don’t stay here if you can afford to stay somewhere else!!!"

"I stayed at this property for one night on my birthday. I arrived around 7:45PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. All but one entrance into the property was accessible. The other two gates were closed. The hotel staff at the front desk, she was nice & check in was quick. A call was placed once inside the room 2208 because the television was not working. I only received 9 DirecTV channels, a few wer blurry & the rest had a DirecTV signal loss error code 771, or would say it was "acquiring guide data. Thank you for your patience". I switched rooms one time & was facing the pool in Room #2217 building number 2. Same issue. Front desk was called and said someone would come by to look at it but no one showed up. The room was not in the best shape. Pieces of the mirror were missing, there were cracks in the walls & shower head was loose & coming out of the wall, while noticing how brown the back of the door hinges were in the bathroom. Door hinges looked like it was starting to corrod. Maybe add a microfridge & microwave in the rooms would be great amenities for future guests. On a positive note, I liked how quiet the room was. Parking was not an issue. I noticed that there was on-site security in the parking lots. But the beds were too solid for my liking. There are vending machines but items are expensive. If you're looking for a quick stay that's on the cheaper side then this is a good stay. I can not recommend staying here & will not be returning to Saddleback Hotel in the future."
