The hotel in under construction and is loud and dirty. But I am guessing this is for good reason as we stayed in a room the smelled like wet socks and the carpet was discusting! We had to wear our shoes in the room and even the shoes would stick to the floor. The place is not in the best of neighborhoods, meaning it's not the worst neighborhood I've been in but not like you will see a Starbucks or anything upscale. I felt safe, basically I was only there to shower and sleep. I had someone with me so I felt safer. The hotel could use some updates, paint, newer curtains but I was surprised how clean my room was and the bathroom was actually spotless. No stains on the curtains either. The check in people were very nice and all smiles which I liked. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were really white. I inspected everything and still did a bleach wipe down but I would do this even at a 5 star hotel. I would stay again because of the cleanliness. I'd rather stay in a clean place than something upscale that is filthy.
